Feelings

Sad

okay, so let's say that you're sad because you had a bad day. What can you do to make yourself feel better?

-Talk to someone

-write it down and throw it away, hopefully with the sadness.

-DO something that makes you happy. Read your favorite book or watch your fav movie. Play outside or eat ice cream even!!!

`Test Stress

You have a math SOL this week, and you're anxious, nervous, excited, and so many other feelings. What should you do?

-Take a deep breath. It's going to be okay.

-Chewing gum often helps the mind focus

-Study in time frames. Study for 45 minutes, take a 5-10 minute break. Rewarding yourself during every break is a good way to encourage yourself to work hard.

-A nice, relaxing activity like writing, reading, drawing, or something you like to do!

Mad

So, let's say you're Mad about...well anything that makes you mad, try these tips and see if the work. Please note that some don't work for everybody.

-Write down and throw it away.

-Tense up your hands legs, arms, and body. Hold it for about 5 to 10 seconds, then loosen up and relax. This is called Raw Spaghetti-Cooked Spaghetti.  repeat until you feel better!

-Talk it out with someone

-use square breathing. Picture a square in your mind, the right side will be breath in for 5 seconds. The Top will say Hold for about 4 seconds. The left side will say breathe in for 5 to 8 seconds. The last, bottom line will say hold for about 4 seconds.
